Though we’re smaller on square footage than sister restaurants LINCOLN and Teddy & The Bully Bar, Declaration’s 1,776 square feet in DC’s North Shaw neighborhood is packed with charm. “Where Declaration really stands out,” says Brightest Young Things, “is in the details, both on and off the menu.” Thanks for the press!

“Light streams through the floor to ceiling windows,” they report in their article about Declaration, “and the antiqued mirrors help make it feel like there’s a little more space.???

We’re a cozy choice in winter, when you can see passersby on busy North Shaw’s bustling streets. And we look forward to summer, when our outdoor patio will be open for even more people-watching.

“You can really get more personal with the customer when you’re in a restaurant this size,” our very own Alan Popovsky told the DC City Paper. He says the cozier, neighborhoody vibe is reminiscent of his days running Felix in Adams Morgan.

Not your typical DC pizzeria, we offer a slice of America’s history with every pie. Choose your favorite from the 13 original colonies, each named for the signer of the Declaration of Independence from that particular state. Corporate Executive Chef Demetrio Zavala has created a signature pizza for each of the original 13 colonies, featuring the fresh, locally-sourced produce, meat, game and seafood reminiscent of each state’s local culture.

We also offer pizza delivery and take-out!
